The Hidden Gardens Privacy Policy

The Hidden Gardens is committed to safeguarding your privacy and security. This policy explains how and why we, The Hidden Gardens, collect any personal data, to ensure that you remain informed and in control of your information.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA
The Hidden Gardens collects personal data for a number of reasons. One of the most important reasons is to keep our audiences up to date about our past, current and future events.
We are also required to keep a record of audience and participant numbers for several funding bodies, and the information gathered on our participant registration forms and on the equalities monitoring forms is therefore helpful, and will only be used to report on the range of people participating in our activities.

Digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics may be used to record anonymous user’s interaction with The Hidden Gardens’ website. This gives us information about how people use this website, and it helps us investigate whether the website meets its users’ needs as well as to evaluate how our website can be improved. You may opt out of our use of Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics opt-out page.

HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA
You can sign up on our e-newsletter through our website (thehiddengardens.org.uk), through our participant registration forms or by getting in touch with us by email. Your email address will then be added on our mailing list on MailChimp, and you will regularly receive an e-newsletter including information about our opportunities and events. You can unsubscribe the newsletter at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link on the bottom of the newsletter.

We also collect personal data on the participant registration forms and on equalities monitoring forms. We encourage everyone attending our opportunities to fill in both forms, although answering questions on the equalities monitoring form is entirely optional.

WHAT WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION
Your name and email address are saved on our account on MailChimp, our marketing platform, until you either unsubscribe or ask us to remove your details.

We only hold on to your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes for which we collected it. After that we will either delete it or anonymise it so that it cannot be linked back to you.
We do not share your personal data with any other organisations.

YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to request a copy of any of your information, or to ask us to update or delete any information that we currently hold about you. For any requests or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us through email address administrator@thehiddengardens.org.uk .
