Created by Southside based artist Martyna Maz, ‘Ordinary Zen’ is a photographic record of intimate stories shared by individuals who practice meditation to connect with their true nature, purpose and power. The ethereal portraits on display serve as a reminder that the most important relationship of our lives is the one we have with ourselves. Much like the impact of nature on our lives, our own connection to ourselves can be hard to grasp or measure, but it’s where our whole world resides.
This exhibition is installed across The Hidden Gardens as part of this year’s Govanhill International Festival. Martyna Maz is hosting an artist talk and tour of the works on the Saturday the 10th of August, the event is free but ticketed and you can book by clicking HERE
