Come along to the “I remember” open day and contribute to the Scottish Covid Memorial! Activities include ‘I remember’ writing sessions, movement workshops as well as activities collecting memories of green spaces during the pandemic. All welcome.
The Scottish Covid Memorial will honour lost loved ones and recognise the impact of the pandemic upon us all, helping to shape a culture of recuperation. During summer 2021 the artistic team, led by Alec Finlay, are running a series of open days and online workshops to co-create the memorial – an artwork in Pollok Country Park- details of which will be confirmed in the autumn. Alec’s key ideas are ‘I remember’ and ‘support’. Your contributions and ideas will help inform the design of a series of physical structures which will be refined into the final memorial artwork in Pollok Country Park.
