Biodiversity Action Plan
What is Biodiversity?
‘Biodiversity’ is a word used to describe the variety of life on earth, from the smallest insect to the largest tree and everything in between. You can find biodiversity almost everywhere: in cities, gardens, beside roads, at the countryside and seaside.
Biodiversity is the foundation of the natural processes that sustain life on earth, providing us with fresh air, clean water, food and shelter.
Everyone can help protect biodiversity by protecting animals, plants and the places where they live.
Our Local Biodiversity Action Plan
