    Paula Murdoch

    Paula’s role is to manage the maintenance and development of the Gardens. Part of this role involves managing a gardening team and volunteers who support her in protecting, conserving and enhancing the Gardens. Under secondment as Gardens Manager, she is also involved in designing, developing and managing gardening and horticulture programmes which address key outcomes of the organisation relating to integration, health improvement, skills and learning.

    Andrea’s role is to recruit, manage and support volunteers involved in the ‘Pathways to Change’ volunteering programme. Volunteers learn gardening skills, improve their health and wellbeing, make new friends and are involved in skill sharing whilst helping to meet the needs of the Gardens.

    Natalie Davidson

    Natalie’s role is to oversee the running of the community and creative programmes at The Hidden Gardens, including Cultural Cookery, Tai Chi on the Lawn, Wee Happenings, Music on the Lawn. She encourages community involvement and participation in the Gardens and with local food growing spaces in Pollokshields. Her role includes overseeing the running of community festivals and events. Natalie also provides marketing and press support. She is always seeking to hear your views and ideas about our projects, activities and events.

    Riitta’s role is to ensure that the office at The Hidden Gardens is efficiently run. This includes acting as the first point of contact for members of the public enquiring about the Hidden Gardens and managing the Boilerhouse bookings and events.

    The Horticultural Trainers deliver a programme of gardening activities and workshops to a diversity of children, young people and adults. The programme of gardening activities and workshops allow participants to experience practical gardening skills. In addition, Horticultural Trainers also deliver training within a framework which promotes awareness of nature, the environment and biodiversity.

    Garden Assistants assist with all horticultural tasks, ensuring that the Gardens are maintained to the highest horticultural standards. Their role is also to maintain and patrol the gardens, in order to maximise visitor enjoyment. Garden Assistants are also on hand to answer any queries or questions that visitors may have.

    Saubia keeps the Boilerhouse looking spotless and shiny for all of our programmes and hires.

  • Fatima Uygun Cookery Workshop Leader

    Fatima Uygun

    Fatima’s role is to plan, deliver and evaluate cookery sessions within the Gardens’ community programme. She also provides one-off workshops for volunteers, community groups and events.

  • Rhona Simpson Common Ground Project Workshop Leader

    Rhona works on the Common Ground Project delivering workshops to local school groups at our allotment in New Victoria Gardens.
